By 2022, every French person will have access to a personal online account on which all of their medical files will appear. The proposal, examined under the health law, was validated in the National Assembly on March 22, reports West France.
The goal ? That each patient can access all their health information easily. This will make it possible to be more involved in the health system. No more memory lapses on the last blood test when the doctor asks you the question: you will have the answer in a few clicks.
All health documents in one place
This digital health space will contain a whole bunch of documents related to your medical journey. Results of analyzes, prescriptions, hospital reports … No need to store a whole medical paperwork, to search for hours for a lost prescription. You will also find the details of your reimbursements and the procedures to be carried out if necessary. As is already the case on the Améli.fr site.
On this personalized digital health space, you can provide additional information. In particular the contact of a person to be notified in an emergency, or your choice concerning organ donation.
Last November, Social Security launched the DMP, a shared medical record, supposed to simplify the medical monitoring of patients. This new project will consolidate this first proposal, being completely free.
How quickly will it be effective? By January 1, 2022, at the latest. Children born after this date will have it automatically. This new measure should have a cost of around 50 million euros.
