Summer vacation is coming to an end. Are the French therefore more rested when they return from vacation? Not necessarily, if we are to believe the results of a survey Odoxa for Le Figaro, France Inter and MNH, carried out between August 24 and 25 on a sample of 1005 people. Only 34% of them say they are less so tired than before going on vacation, while 14% say they feel less fit. A majority of French people do not see the difference and say they feel “neither more nor less tired” than before the holidays. A phenomenon that can be explained as follows, according to the survey: the effect of holidays fades two to four weeks after the resumption of the usual rhythm.
A positive effect on the minds of the French
If the French do not all feel in great shape at the dawn of the new school year, the summer holidays nevertheless have a beneficial effect on their health. There were thus fewer colds (13% in August against 22% in July), bronchitis (7% in August against 13% in July) or even nasopharyngitis (6% in August against 11% in July). The summer break also has a positive effect on the minds of the French and limits the risk of depression, reveals the survey. The majority of those interviewed claim to have offline of their work (86%), enjoyed their loved ones more (82%) and took more time for them (78%).
