The judge does not participate in the nitrogen protest

The top hat of environmental organization Mobilization for the Environment (MOB) now seems to be really empty, and the Dutch GP is definitely going ahead. At least this year. According to the MOB, the nitrogen calculation was not correct and the organization initiated summary proceedings. If they were right, the race would not go on. The judge has ruled today that the Dutch GP in Zandvoort will simply get the green light. Among other things, this reports Heart of the Netherlands.
‘MOB attaches importance to nature and is committed to preventing ecological damage to the adjacent Natura 2000 area. Circuit Zandvoort, on the other hand, has now almost completely organized F1 and has invested heavily in this. Not going ahead with F1 would immediately lead to very large damage and possible bankruptcy for Circuit Zandvoort,” the judge said. There is currently another case pending, but it will not stop the race.
Last month, the court engaged its own expert to conduct a so-called substantive procedure. This is going to take months. If something comes out of this, it would have an effect on any future GPs in Zandvoort. For now, the many trucks have come to Zandvoort for a reason.
