The Tesla Model 3 Long Range can cover more distance on one charge thanks to a new battery, but this improvement means a price increase of € 3,000. This version of the electric sedan is now asking for € 55,990 excluding ecological bonus.
While the compact electric vehicle market is gradually expanding, Tesla intends to stay ahead of its Model 3 in terms of autonomy. Thanks to an increased battery capacity (from 75 kWh to 82 kWh according to some sources but Tesla does not communicate any figures), its Long Range version can now travel 614 km on a charge according to the WLTP homologation cycle, against 580 km previously.
€ 3,000 increase for Grande Autonomie
This competitive advantage of the Model 3 pays off. Its Grande Autonomie variant has been the subject of two successive price increases in recent weeks for an overall increase of € 3,000. Still posted 52,990 € a month ago, the car is now asking for € 55,990. This price still allows him to benefit from an ecological bonus of € 2,000 until June 30, 2022. Beware of options if one wants to take advantage of this bonus, certain expensive equipment such as semi-autonomous driving devices that can carry the addition over € 60,000, a rate beyond which no bonus is granted.
A slightly revised Model 3 range
The Model 3 Grande Autonomie is still equipped with two motors providing it with all-wheel drive and capable of going from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.4 s according to Tesla. The entry-level two-wheel-drive Model 3 recently gained range (491 km WLTP) and equipment with an unchanged base price of € 43,800 granting it the maximum bonus of € 6,000. The Model 3 Performance Dual Motor, still reaches 100 km / h in 3.3 s and still costs € 59,990 but its WLTP range has lost 20 km with 547 km claimed now.
