What makes you fat the most, a diet based on sugar or based on bold ? Two American twins, Chris and Xand van Tulleken, 35 years old and both doctors, lent their bodies to science to answer this question. Under the eye of the BBC channel for a month, Xand went on a fat-based diet with only 5% sugar, while Chris opted for the opposite, high-carb diet with no more than 5% fat.
Surprise ! They both lost weight. Scientists believe that the problem is not in the fat or the sugar, but in the mixture of the two. American professor Paul Kenny of the Scripps Institute explains in the video that: “Feeding rats a high sugar or high fat base has never really affected their daily habits or their health. But give them chocolate, biscuits and cheesecake which are about 50% fat and 50% sweet, and their behavior will change drastically, they stop eating anything else, binge and gain weight. regulation that normally prevented them from overeating seemed to have been extinguished.”
Ready-to-eat foods would therefore be the most harmful to the line. To be banned: crisps, cakes, frozen meals and sodas. Easier said than TO DO…
