A closed primary school and childcare puts parents in a difficult position. Is your grandfather or mother looking after the grandchildren more now than before?
Parents who work from home and have to provide their children with home education: that is almost impossible to do. Perhaps that’s why you, as a grandfather or grandmother, now help out as a babysitter a little more often.
But maybe not and you keep more distance from your grandchild(ren) precisely because of the risk of contamination. For example, you should be extra careful with a corona mutation that may spread more easily among children. Moreover, it is not always possible for grandparents who still work themselves to babysit more often.
