The war in Ukraine forces manufacturers to review their level of production. In a note sent to dealers, Audi said it had to suspend the manufacture of certain models such as the A4, A5, A6, Q4 e-tron, Q7 or even the TT until mid-April.
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is having a severe impact on the automotive industry, and manufacturers have to make decisions. A capital market in the production of electrical harnesses, Ukraine is no longer able to meet demand as it should. After BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen, Audi is forced to suspend the production of some of its models. In 2022, according to the firm S&P Global Mobility, 2.6 million cars and light commercial vehicles could not be produced.

On hiatus until April
In a note to dealers published by the German newspaper Automobilwoche, Audi has indicated that it will stop production in certain regions for several days or even weeks, and that it is therefore to be expected that delivery times will be longer. Among the models concerned are the A4, A5, A6, A7, as well as the TT, Q7, Q8 and Q4 e-tron. Assembly lines should resume by mid-April for the sedans and two weeks later for the aforementioned SUVs, as well as for the small coupe. The brand with the rings spares the A1, A3 and Q2 among others and also favors models with higher profitability such as the A8, the Q5 and the 100% electric SUV e-tron.
