Rose Magazine, which comes out in November, will be distributed free of charge in healthcare establishments in 300,000 copies.
The editorial team of Rose Magazine talks about the 800,000 cancer patients in France and the millions of people in treatment who must survive socially after the disease.
This magazine demands above all the right of patients not to become non-citizens and addresses both medical and lifestyle topics.
But this magazine is also a manifesto:
for the right not to become sub-citizens, for the right to lead a normal social life after illness, for the right to borrow money from a bank other than at prohibitive rates, for the right to ensure our health at decent prices, for the right to keep in our companies the same chances of promotion and development as before the disease, for the creation of a status of chronic patient different from that of disabled adult which does not concern us.
Rose, a committed and optimistic magazine
This magazine was founded by two women and friends who have been touched directly or indirectly by cancer. One of the relatives of Céline Dupré, director of the publication of Rose magazine, was struck by the disease. Céline Lis, co-director of the publication and managing editor, herself had breast cancer in 2008 from which she drew a story, “The impatient”.
“Rose is an editorial staff of at-risk women who have decided to take an extra risk: giving birth to a magazine. A magazine that will help you understand the story. Know the enemy. Get advice from doctors, other women . Discover the treatments that will relieve pain. Learn to put on make-up, dress, do your hair “, explains Céline Lis-Raoux, director of the publication.
