F1 2022 commentators are known
Silly season is in full swing, but not with F1 drivers. Next year F1 will move from Ziggo to the Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT). You can then watch F1 on their streaming service Viaplay. For a long time the question was who would provide the commentary during the races. According to Racingnews365 Nelson Valkenburg and Melroy Heemskerk will be responsible for the reporting. This would mean that Olav Mol will not move with them.
In an interview with the website, Peter Nørrelund, Executive Vice President and Chief Sports Officer at NENT, said: “Nelson will be the lead commentator and Melroy will be the co-commentator. NENT has many years of experience beating Formula 1. We believe this is the right way to beat the sport with a duo made up of the commentator and the expert.” He adds: ‘I have a lot of respect for Olav Mol, who played an important part in Formula 1 in the Netherlands. However, we also have our vision of producing Formula 1.”
Other presenters
In addition to Nelson Valkenburg and Melroy Heemskerk, NENT also managed to attract Amber Brantsen for a program about F1. In return for Qmusic said Robert Doornbos that he is also in talks with NENT. Nothing is officially known about other Dutch presenters.
