The new sports cars have storm damage
In December, a devastating tornado hit the General Motors plant in the US state of Kentucky. In total, about 120 new Chevrolet Corvettes are said to have been damaged. Chevrolet does not want to take any risks when it comes to quality or any liability if things go wrong with customers. Therefore, the brand destroys all damaged copies.
It is not clear whether the Corvettes were not ready for sale or whether parts were still being disassembled for reuse. In any case, the Corvettes already lack quite a bit of sheet metal. Also things like rims and tires should in principle still be good.
Car manufacturers are more likely to take rigorous measures to ensure that defective cars do not enter the market. For example, more than twenty new Toyota Supras are waiting to be dismantled across the border into Germany. View the drone images of SVRweather of the 120 Chevrolet Corvettes that will be destroyed.
