Claire was contaminated by the Covid. Vaccinated with two doses, she was about to give her third injection. His vaccination schedule was still considered “complete vaccination schedule” since she was on time to get her booster shot. So she canceled her appointment. She wonders if she should schedule a new one?
What must be understood is that an infection is equivalent to an injection as part of the initial vaccine (1 or 2 dose vaccination schedule) but not as part of the booster vaccine. In other words, infected or not, any adult over the age of 18 must do a booster.
Contacted by Top Santé, the DGS confirms:
The Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines require two doses to the initial vaccination schedule complete, before the booster dose, with two exceptions:
- People who have already contracted Covid-19 can receive a single dose of vaccine (single dose vaccination)
- People who contracted Covid-19 at least 15 days after receiving their first injection may not be given the second dose of vaccine.
But the booster dose is for everyone 18 years and olderand having a complete initial vaccination schedule: from 3 months after the last dose of the initial schedule or after a Covid-19 infection if this occurred after vaccination.
Conclusion, the rule is as follows: the booster dose must be carried out within a minimum of 3 months after infection and up to 7 months after infection to maintain a valid health pass.
Do not forget to upload the reinstatement certificate
Note that while waiting for the booster dose and to keep the health pass, you must add the certificate of recovery in the Tous Anti Covid application.
The recovery certificate is to be retrieved on the SI-DEP platform using the link sent by e-mail and/or SMS, as for negative tests.
It is then possible to integrate it into the “Notebook” of the application AllAntiCovid by scanning the QR code or by importing it directly from the SI-DEP platform via the dedicated link.
