In 2022, Renault will market a compact electric crossover under the name Mégane E-Tech Electric. The production model has not yet been unveiled, but it will not be long, the official presentation is scheduled for the start of the school year. Visuals of the prototypes used for development were nevertheless presented by the Losange to be patient, in addition to those seen in the streets of Versailles by our readers. These prototypes have a very specific camouflage inspired by the new Renault logo, which the Mégane E-Tech Electric will release. Like always, models are also tested in Spain for final adjustments, with a more traditional camouflage this time.
Patterns that hide the final lines well
As often, the lines are erased by the psychedelic patterns of the camouflage. We can nevertheless clearly guess that it is a leggy crossover, a type of bodywork currently in vogue. It is perched on large wheels, here in sheet metal. The window line is reminiscent of that of the fourth generation Scénic, with a cutout that forms the rear quarter panel. It contains the handle of the rear doors, like the Clio since 2012. At the front, it is rather retractable handles that are preferred. The headlights are very thin at the front and connected by a band which therefore incorporates the new logo, still hidden. Ditto at the rear, with a very thin red strip running between the two lights, positioned at each end of the tailgate.
