Renault is revising the range of its small Captur SUV. It inherits the new names of finishes introduced by the electric Mégane E-Tech and sees its range reorganized. Prices go up along the way. The entry-level trades for €650 more, or €23,100.
Gradually, Renault is converting all its models to its new range structure, introduced by the electric Mégane e-Tech. It is thus the turn of the Captur urban SUV to adopt these new finishing designations, from the 1er March 2022. No more Zen, Intens or Initiale Paris. Only the RS Line level keeps the same name as before. For the sake of simplification, the Diamond manufacturer also increases the number of engine/finish combinations from 21 to 16. As for the Rive Gauche limited series, it should not be renewed.
New trim names
The entry-level Zen finish now becomes Balance. With a price increase along the way. Previously available from €22,450, the Captur is now exchanged for €650 more, i.e. €23,100. The Evolution level forms an offer for both individuals and professionals, and serves as a transition before the Techno finish, formerly Intens (850 € more). The manufacturer keeps the Captur RS Line, with a sportier look. On the other hand, the most posh version abandons the name Initiale Paris, born in the 1990s, which requires the removal of all the reminder lettering of the finish. It now becomes Iconic, undergoing an increase of 500 €. We also note the disappearance from the catalog of one of the launch colours, Orange Atacama.
A more accessible GPL version
As mentioned in the preamble, Renault is taking advantage of the redesign of its range to also change the engine/finish combinations. The E-Tech 160 plug-in hybrid is thus only available from the Techno level. To benefit from this “trendy” mechanism, you will now have to pay €36,350, or €3,900 more than before. The LPG TCe 100 offer takes the opposite path by becoming more accessible. It disappears from the mid-range Techno and finds itself a level below, thus starting at 24,750 € (550 € less). In return, it will be necessary to deal with less generous equipment.
