Two brands of fruit yoghurts, sold by Lidl and Aldi, are being recalled because they may contain foreign objects.
- Two brands of fruit yogurt with pieces are being recalled. These are Misalni and Envia products.
- These yogurts are suspected of containing foreign objects that can cause injury when swallowed.
- Customers in possession of the dairy products in question are asked not to consume them and to return them to the stores. A refund is expected.
Be careful if you have recently bought fruit yogurts. Batches of the Misalni and Envia brands, sold by Aldi and Lidl respectively, have been withdrawn from sale as they may contain foreign objects that could cause injury. However, some pots may have been sold before the procedure. Consumers are therefore advised to carefully check the label of their dairy products before eating them.

Foreign objects can cause injury
“The presence of foreign bodies, in particular hard and/or pointed or sharp, in a food product, represents a real danger for the consumer in the event of accidental ingestion”noted ANSES. In this case, yogurts have been recalled, because the inert materials detected may present a “risk of injury or adverse effects following ingestion”.
