Thanks to health vouchers, employees will be able to benefit from preventive health services “prepaid in part by the company or the Works Council”.
The company will define its participation in the Chèque Santé scheme for its employees, who will choose affiliated health professionals. Since the system was set up, companies have allocated an average of 150 euros to their employees. They will be available in January 2015.
10,000 practitioners have already joined
Physiotherapists, naturopaths, posturologists, but also ergonomists, osteopaths, equitherapists, chiropodists, psychologists, psychotherapists, yoga teachers, dermatologists and surgeons have already joined this project. If doctors appear in the list of participants, it should be noted that only benefits not reimbursed by Social Security can be paid with this health check (act of cosmetic surgery, laser hair removal, etc.).
In order for professionals to be able to use these titles, they must be registered in the ADELI directory (the national information system), and therefore hold a diploma recognized by the State.
Since the implementation of the project, nearly 10,000 health professionals have registered, but Vincent Daffourd, director of Chèque santé hopes to attract 100,000 practitioners by 2015.
This initiative could perhaps relieve the too many French people who limit their medical consultations for financial reasons.
Indeed, more than one in four French people gave up at least one health care for financial reasons in 2012, according to the survey of the Institute for Research and Documentation in Health Economics (Irdes).
