And if the adage “Prevention is better than cure” made sense today? And in particular thanks to these so-called connected objects which more and more often enclose our wrists, our arms, cover our feet, gradually become encrusted over our entire body … “In France, by 2020, it is estimated that two billion connected objects will be sold” explains Michel Cymes, doctor and presenter of “Le magazine de la Santé” on France 5.
Thanks to them we take our health in hand, we learn to manage our individual and collective behaviors, our good and bad habits of life. For example, we can know the number of steps we take each day. And if in the evening on returning home, we realize that we have not reached our goal, we take a little detour to reach the 6,000 steps that avoid a sedentary lifestyle.
Used by medical personnel, with the development of telemedicine, these connected objects can also directly serve patients by making it possible to solve a certain number of problems posed by medical deserts.
Of course, there are still some questions to be answered concerning the use of personal data obtained from these objects or their degree of reliability.
This will be done on June 14 during a conference on “connected health” that the most famous doctor in France, will give to the Corum in Montpellier, at 7:30 pm Admission is free but you have to register here to listen to Michel Cymes and his guests discuss this topic.
