The obstetrician gynecologist

He is authorized to perform the obstetric maneuvers required for certain deliveries (breech presentation, forceps, etc.), cesarean but also the so-called normal childbirth. This specialist works in the hospital or in the private sector. When he works in the private sector, he can give birth to you in a public hospital. In this case, he will ask you for additional fees.
The medical gynecologist
Associated with a midwife or an obstetrician gynecologist, he generally follows pregnancies until the sixth month and does not perform deliveries.
The general practitioner
He can declare a pregnancy, perform pregnancy follow-up consultations without complications until the eighth month, during which time the establishment responsible for delivery takes over to complete the pregnancy follow-up and childbirth. On the other hand, for ultrasounds and preparation for birth, this professional directs his patient to a midwife or an obstetrician gynecologist.
