The allergo-pollenic bulletin is not reassuring: the birch pollens are still there, and are already joined by the grasses, on a good part of the territory.
More birch trees and already grasses! This is the warning launched by the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA) in its last allergo-pollen bulletin, valid until May 6.
He specifies that birch pollens are still present in the North of France, and these trees are still in bloom from the Channel to Alsace via Orléanais. “The peak of pollination having passed, the allergic risk linked to this pollen will be high over the next few days in this area” warned Charlotte Sindt, director of the RNSA on Friday.
Same forecast for the rest of the territory with an average allergic risk from Poitou to the Northern Alps and the Pyrenees. Only the Rhône valley, the tip of Brittany, the coastal regions and the south of France are spared.
Grasses are coming in force this week
Regarding grass pollens, they are essential around the Mediterranean and go up along the Rhône valley, with an average allergic risk. And they are present throughout the rest of the territory from this week. That from Brittany to Languedoc. The associated risk is however considered low, even locally average, but these grasses are only waiting “for a return to seasonal temperatures to disperse their pollens”, warns the RNSA.
In addition, oak pollens are still required in the South-West with an allergic risk that can reach a high level. Willow, poplar and cypress are finishing their season, their pollens are still present, but without discomfort for allergy sufferers.
Finally, plantain pollens are on the increase, they are mainly present in the South-West and the Lyonnaise region.
