For all those who have questions about the Pick or who are worried about its misdeeds, the French Agency for the Sanitary Safety of Health Products (Afssaps) has made a free toll-free number available since November 16, 2010. The 0 800 880 700 allows you to learn more about the Pick before consulting your doctor.
The switchboard is available at the following times:
Metropolitan France – Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Guadeloupe – from Monday to Saturday in the morning until 2 p.m.
Guyana – Monday to Saturday morning until 3 p.m.
Martinique – from Monday to Saturday in the morning until 2 p.m.
Mayotte – Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Meeting – Monday to Saturday afternoon until 10 p.m.
Remember that the Mediator is a drug from Servier laboratories, used as an appetite suppressant by overweight diabetics and then by obese people. This drug was withdrawn from the market in 2009 after several serious cases of valve disease were observed.
