Our overview of price increases at Peugeot continues with a focus on the 508. The manufacturer is increasing the price of thermal engine models by €1,050 and that of the 225 hp plug-in hybrid by €550. The entry ticket for this family starts at €37,500.
The Peugeot 508 is again impacted by a price increase! After a redesign of the range in November 2021, accompanied by a price change of €500 (except for the 508 PSE), the Lion brand is putting a layer of it back at the start of 2022.
€1,050 more for petrol and diesel
Thermal engines (gasoline, diesel) see their prices increase by €1,050. The increase is a little more measured on plug-in hybrids. The 225 hp PHEV version becomes €550 more expensive when the 508 PSE, spared last fall, increases by €50. As for the other models in the range, 208, 2008 or even 5008, Peugeot does not offer any additional equipment. Check out the detail below. The manufacturer is just passing on – to its customers’ portfolio – its difficulties encountered in the supply of semiconductors, the impacts of the health crisis, the rise in the price of raw materials and the fall in its sales, even if it was much weaker than that of its great rival Renault.

On the bonus-malus side: the 225 hp plug-in hybrid version remains eligible for a boost of €1,000 depending on the version (provided you place an order before June 30). Diesel, hitherto spared by the ecological malus, can now be subject to a tax of up to €170. As for petrol engines, the maximum amount of their tithe reaches €330 on the sedan (€230 in 2021) and €450 on the station wagon (€280 in 2021).
