I had a perianal abscess a year and a half ago. Had surgery on it. Then I got a rash on both buttocks (buttocks). For this I went to a dermatologist and proctologist and the red spots were treated with various medicines. The stains are gone but sitting is still an issue. It gives an intolerable burning sensation when sitting for a long time. What could that be? How can I remedy this or which specialty should I turn to for a thorough diagnosis?

I find it difficult to fathom what exactly happened, but if I understand correctly, the skin has been viciously inflamed. This could have resulted in damage to skin nerves. When sensory nerves function less well, pain nerves often take over the signal. So I could imagine that it is a kind of nerve pain (if there is nothing to see) the burning nature of the pain is also reminiscent of that.
That in itself is a difficult problem to deal with; a first step for various forms of nerve pain – for example after shingles – is a low dose of amitryptilline (which is actually an old-fashioned antidepressant, but it changes the stimulus transmission a bit). If you assume that it is nerve pain (and I could be wrong) there are several other possibilities. I would suggest this to your doctor, so you can try something out together.
