Nissan has slightly reworked its Leaf electric compact, the second and current generation of which has been on the market for four years now. Its WLTP range still reaches 385 km. Its starting price increases by €500 to €34,400.
Marketed in Europe in early 2018, the second Nissan Leaf of the name benefits for its mid-career from a slight restyling. Very subtle, it tends to add a touch of elegance and modernity to the design of the compact electric. It is accompanied by an enrichment of the range of configurations offered.
Black for contrast
The restyled Leaf is recognizable above all by its front panel, now fully black lacquered. The disappearance of the chrome bars attenuates the V of the front face and gives a more refined appearance to the whole. This full grille features the newly revised Nissan logo in the center. Same for rims. These are available in a new two-tone design mixing black and gray, with a diameter of 16 or 17 inches. Sukumo blue and Magnetic blue body colors are added to the catalog, which still includes five solid colors and five two-tone variants in addition. On the passenger compartment and equipment side, the main novelty is better integration of the smartphone into the car’s infotainment system. via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto according to Nissan.
