As 2018 is about to begin, 69% of French people would like to get off to a good start, set new goals and potentially meet them. A survey of 1,097 people by the Toluna polling institute and the Newpharma site dissects these good resolutions. Unsurprisingly, the things that we would like to improve relate above all to health and well-being.
Men and women, not the same goals?
On the count of the day of the year, 1 third of the French will not take any resolution. As for the others, despite all their good intentions, only 5% will actually stick to it. At the top of the podium, we find the desire to losing weight (38%), to take up sport (35%), or simply to positive (29%). Contrary to what one might think, the wish tostop smokingcomes much further in the ranking with only 15% of motivated smokers. Another resolution also at the very bottom of the ranking (because surely taken on the morning of January 1 after a drunken evening): reduce alcohol consumption for 7% of respondents.
These good resolutions vary slightly depending on gender. 41% of women want above all to lose a few pounds, while men (35%) want to get into sport or do more. Men and women are nevertheless equal in terms of the desire to be positive and adopt a healthier food. These results show that the French are aware that a healthy mind in a healthy body is linked to a better quality of life. Still have to stick to it!
