Physical inactivity is the 3rd risk factor for mortality in the world behind high blood pressure and smoking. Conversely, a sedentary person who begins to practice physical activity can gain between 1.5 and 3 years of life expectancy. And this, regardless of the age at which we start to move.
However, according to studies, 2/3 of French people are sedentary and 4 in 10 adolescents do not practice any physical activity.
However, getting around well is within everyone’s reach: all you have to do is take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk around the neighborhood to increase your daily number of steps, get on a bike rather than ‘a scooter, to swim, to dance…
This is what the doctor Michel Cymes, presenter in particular of the “Health magazine” on France 5, will explain during a conference on the theme “Move well to live well” which will take place on Wednesday, November 07 at 19h at the Theater from Champagne to Troyes in the presence of regional health professionals who will provide practical advice.
Ask him your questions on twitter
It has been almost 5 years since Michel Cymes embarked on a health tour of France with the Health Prevention Club which he created with his brother Franck, in partnership with Harmonie Mutuelle, the 1st mutual health organization in France.
Once a month, he stops in a town in France (discover the next dates here). On Wednesday 7 November, he will therefore stop in Troyes but, even if you live in Lille, Marseille or Bordeaux, you will be able to attend this conference, which will be broadcast live on the internet and especially on our site.
You will also be able to ask your questions live and react to the comments of the speakers by going on twitter and adding the hasstag #clubpreventionante to your questions.
