Until April 11, Lyon is organizing its Motor Show. The event is back after a missed edition due to the pandemic. Forty-five brands responded in 2022 with a panel of new products. Discovery of the models not to be missed.
Welcome to the largest car dealership in France: the Salon de Lyon! From April 7 to 11, car enthusiasts have an appointment at Eurexpo to discover the latest innovations. The Lyon High Mass is not intended to exhibit “world premieres”.
In this fair on a human scale, the brands are represented by local dealers. Anne-Marie Baezner, Director of the Lyon Motor Showrecalls that the investment at the Show is covered 50-50 between the manufacturers and the distribution groups “. The latter highlight their range on no-frills stands, the surface area of which does not exceed 600 m². Priority is given to exchanges with the general public and to transactions! French premieres
A few brands played the game at the Salon de Lyon by presenting, for the very first time on French soil, newly revealed models. So, Honda brought in the eleventh generation of its Civic. The compact, equipped with a new hybrid engine, comes in its mid-range Sport finish recognizable by its diffuser, its side skirts, its specific 18-inch rims and its black mirror caps.
Maserati also pulled out all the stops by bringing in its Grecale. The luxury compact SUV, the Levante’s little brother, comes in an original matte glazed brown color. This is the strong entry-level GT version of 300 hp and whose price starts at €75,450.
For its part, Kia made the surprise to come accompanied by its new Niro. The second generation of the compact SUV, which adopts a less consensual design, is still offered with three engines to choose from: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric. The entry ticket is set at €31,790.
Finally, if you were planning to come across the Tonale on the Alfa Romeo stand, go your way! The Italian manufacturer only has to offer you an XXL photo of the compact SUV. Pity. It is however possible to pre-order the model on site. The launch edition, equipped with a 1.5 l 130 hp petrol engine, is billed at €39,000.

The electrifying novelties
The era is for 100% electric vehicles… Visitors to the Show are also greeted by an array of zero-emission models. To better discover them, manufacturers invite potential buyers to their stands. Thus, Renault offers to get acquainted with the Mégane E-Tech Electric, which it exhibits in two copies.
Just turn around to find yourself face to face with the cousin, the Nissan Ariya. The Japanese model adopts the same platform as the diamond model. The SUV is available to order. Prices range from €46,400 to €60,400, and deliveries are scheduled from this summer.
Another SUV to make its debut in France: the ID.5, the coupé counterpart of the ID.4. The dimensions between the two models are almost identical. On the other hand, the newcomer displays a more upscale positioning. Its arrival at the dealership begins this spring. The starting price is set at €51,450 in the Pro version with the 174 hp rear motor and the 77 kWh (net) battery.
At cousin Skoda, it is the Enyaq Coupé iV and its RS version that are in the spotlight. The 4.65 m long SUV is available in different power levels ranging from 180 to 300 hp. The autonomy varies according to the chosen battery. It can reach a maximum of 545 km. The Enyaq Coupé RS will be available from May at around €60,000. The rest of the range, which should start at €45,000, will be marketed in September.
Tesla, although relegated to a small corner of the main hall, does not fail to arouse interest. The American brand is represented by its best-seller in Europe, the Model 3, as well as by its new SUV, assembled in Germany, the Model Y. Finally, on the side of new brands, Aiways and MG would not have missed out This living room. The Chinese manufacturers each present their news: SUV U5 on one side, MG5 station wagon on the other.

Don’t forget to complete your visit with a visit to the Ferrari stand, where an impressive 812 Competizione. In the configuration visible at the Salon de Lyon, the sporty V12 atmo 830 hp is displayed at more than 600,000 €! Another racing car not to be missed is the Maserati MC20. The 630 hp V6 Italian sports car comes in a black dress that suits it perfectly. Less discreet is the livery of the Huracan STO exhibited on the Lamborghini stand (to discover in our slideshow). The transalpine racer equipped with an impressive aerodynamic kit features a 640 hp V10. Notice to amateurs, it is for sale for the trifle of €400,000. Finally, a short detour to the Alpine stand is a must. The brand is represented by several A110s, including a recent 300 hp S version with its XXL spoiler on the trunk.
