A batch of Savoie ham from Reflets de France, Carrefour’s private label, has been recalled due to suspected Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.
- Lots of Savoie ham under the Reflets de France brand and sold by Carrefour are the subject of a product recall.
- Deli meats could be contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes bacteria.
- People in possession of the offending packets of Savoie ham are asked not to consume them and to return them to the point of sale to obtain a refund.
If you recently bought Savoie ham from the Reflets de France brand, be careful. It is being recalled because traces of Listeria Monocytogenes, the bacterium that causes listeria, have been detected in the product.
Charcuterie was removed from the shelves of all Carrefour brands, but some batches may have been sold before the measure. It is therefore recommended that consumers in possession of a package check the label.

Listeriosis: symptoms to watch out for
Listeriosis is a disease caused by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. The contamination is of food origin. There are on average between 350 and 400 cases per year in France. If the infection is generally benign, serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can occur. Immunocompromised or elderly people are also at risk. The incubation period can be up to eight weeks.
The authorities are thus calling on individuals who have consumed the recalled Savoie ham to consult a doctor if they have a fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches. Gastroenteritis disorders may also develop.
“Complications (meningitis, bacteraemia, etc.) in populations at risk may require hospitalization in 20 to 30% of cases, or even lead to death”, warns ANSES on its website.
