LG announces three new Ultragear gaming monitors including the brand’s first 48-inch OLED powerhouse
The new LG Ultragear series consists of three monitors, the 32GQ950, the 32GQ850 and the 48GQ900. The first two are 32-inches in size, but the third is the big news. The 48-inch large beast is the first LG Ultragear OLED game screen of the brand.
game changer
Still a milestone for the brand. The first LG OLED Gaming Monitor† Immediately a 48-inch 4K screen with a refresh rate of 120 hertz and a response time of 0.1 milliseconds. The screen has a borderless design and offers the deep contrast and crisp colors that OLED is known for. The monitor has an anti-reflective coating, so nothing can take your attention away from the screen.
32 Inch models
Check out the other two monitors. Certainly not poor people. Both are 32 inch monitors with a Nano IPS display. Both have a response time of 1 millisecond. In contrast to the 48-inch monitor, these monitors have flexible stands that allow them to be height-adjustable and can swivel and tilt.
The LG Ultragear 32GQ950 is a 4K monitor with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It is equipped with ATW Polarizer technology and according to LG that should provide stunning colors, deep blacks and strong contrasts. All this from a wide viewing angle.
The LG Ultragear 32GQ850 is a QHD monitor with a resolution of 2,560 x1,440 pixels. All three monitors have a headphone jack with support for DTS surround sound. Ideal for gaming, although die-hard gamers will probably prefer to connect the headphones directly to the PC or console.
Prices are not yet known, although we expect that the 48-inch OLED beast will cost quite a bit. We’ll have to wait a little longer, the monitors will hit the Japanese market this month. America, Europe and the rest of Asia will have to wait a little longer, but will hopefully follow soon.
