What is happening at the Institut Hospitalier Universitaire (IHU) Méditerranée Infection, the university hospital center directed by Pr. Raoult? According to a survey by our colleagues from The Express published this Monday, June 7, 2021, “a dozen people“would have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus between mid-March and the beginning of April 2021. A real cluster of Covid-19,”internally muffled“.
“There have been at least 6 contaminations within our establishment, including a technician who was placed in intensive care at the Timone hospital – which is opposite us – and a hospital practitioner in infectious diseases who was hospitalized at the IHU“says a witness who works at the Institut Hospitalier Universitaire,”of which The Express was able to confirm the identity“.
Has Pr. Raoult himself tested positive for Covid-19?
“The technician, who was in serious condition, was admitted to intensive care at the end of March, which suggests that the date of contamination is around the 20th. He was then on hydroxychloroquine-azithromycin, but this treatment was immediately stopped when he was taken care of. He was not intubated, but received high flow oxygen. Luckily he got away with it“adds another witness. According to some testimonies, Pr. Raoult himself may have tested positive for Covid-19 through a mysterious”test under X” – which would not have prevented him from going on a trip to Senegal.
The witnesses interviewed by theExpress describe an environment where sanitary measures are not respected: “while the cluster was ongoing, Didier Raoult continued to organize and travel to meetings (…) which take place every Tuesday (…) and seminars open to outsiders (…) in the IHU amphitheatre, where barrier gestures are little or not respected“.”This situation does not surprise me, since not only are there few, if any, windows in the open spaces, but most of those close to Didier Raoult do not wear the mask.“says an employee of the IHU. Unsurprisingly, the communication department of the IHU Méditerranée refused to comment on these accusations.
