How to sanitize your house or apartment? The Ministry of Health and Inpes want to make French people aware of indoor air quality through a guide and a website launched this Saturday, April 18. On www.prevention-maison.frwe navigate from room to room – the living room, the kitchen, the bathroom, the baby’s room – to discover the different sources of indoor pollution and the practical advice that will help make your home healthy and safe.
With this rather playful site, it is easy to identify the various pollutants: smoking, mould, cleaning products, paints, etc. which can be the cause of allergies, irritation of the respiratory tract, headaches or poisoning. Among the recommendations: ventilate your home every day for 10 minutes, summer and winter; have your heating appliances serviced annually by professionals; wear appropriate protection when doing DIY, especially when sanding; hang laundry outside if possible, etc.
The guide can be ordered free of charge on the site and sent to your home.
