Google changes homepage thoroughly

Everyone searches with the homepage of Google, this will now be adjusted. Read here what will change.

In the past, you may have used other search engines, such as Yahoo or Altavista. But these have all been wiped out by Google. In 1997 the first step was taken to set up this search engine, because then the domain name was registered. A year later, the first version of the search engine appeared. During all those years the homepage has been adapted, but not very rigorously.

The search engine was founded by two PhD students at Stanford University. This is Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The name is a corruption of the term ‘googol’. This is the designation for a 1 with a hundred zeros. The search engine as we know it is powerful because of its simplicity and good search results.

The search screen has been modified quite nicely over the years. Of course, money also has to come in, which is why shopping opportunities and advertisements have been added. They do that well, because the money is pouring in. The logo has also been changed several times. Think of the colors or something interactive. Furthermore, Google.com is just a very simple site. Which is precisely why it is so useful.

Upcoming changes

Google has according to the website 9to5Google decided to drastically change the iconic website. It would be the largest redesign of the webpage ever. There will soon be six cards at the bottom. Here you can see different things. Think of the weather or what is often sought after. But also relevant corona news, local events or your shares. Clicking on it will take you to its search results. Which is nice, you don’t have to. If you believe that these cards are only disturbing, you can turn them off.
