Golden September: a fundraiser for children sick with cancer
The month of September is not over, neither is the “Golden September” campaign! Launched by the Gustave Roussy Foundation, this campaign has set up a fundraising campaign for the benefit of children with cancer. Financial objective to be reached by the end of the month: € 300,000.
This amount will finance four projects each focusing on genetics, immunotherapy, living better after cancer and finally facilitating the care process. On this occasion, posters were published with the message ” Cancer at 7 … Serious ? “. This mobilization obtained the support of several celebrities, including singer Vianney.
500 children die of cancer per year
In addition to a donation, you can also participate in various events organized to benefit the fight against pediatric cancer. See you at the Saint-Cloud national estate on September 29 for the “Children without Cancer” race. In addition, from September 23 to 29, the Big Fernand restaurant chain will donate 100% of all dessert sales to the association when purchasing a Big Formula. Finally, the Pink Mamma restaurant offers its customers to add € 1 to their bill.
Today in France, cancer is the leading cause of death in children and kills 500 children per year. What’s more, for 20% of children, current treatments are ineffective.
