Building the circuit
Connect the anode (the long leg) of the green LED to D5 via a 100 ohm resistor and the anode of the red LED to D6 via a 100 ohm resistor. Connect the cathodes (short legs) of both LEDs to GND. Connect a 10 kOhm resistor between A0 and GND, the sensor will be between A0 and D1. From the 5 volt power supply, connect the plus to VIN and the minus to GND. Below is the simplified scheme:
