Good news. Apple can now fix your broken Face ID without replacing your entire smartphone.
Previously, it was not possible to create Face ID on your iPhone X. Yes, it was possible, but then you just got a new one. If it was within the warranty period, then you were just out of luck. Now the company has come up with a solution for this, so that you can use your smartphone for longer.
Face ID iPhone X
In March, Apple already released a program that could repair Face ID on newer iPhones. This without replacing the entire device, but it left out the iPhone X. Quite frustrating, because many people still have such a device. Okay, it’s a bit old, but still works fine. Except that Face ID, which often breaks. MacRumors has heard that Apple and authorized repair centers can now repair Face ID on the iPhone X, without the need for a full replacement.
This was not possible before. The original program offered these more targeted repairs only for the iPhone XS and newer models. The update extends support to all iPhones with Face ID.
Expansion
The expansion is good news. This is because Apple is rethinking its general stance on repairs. The company has made it easier for third-party repair shops to repair displays without breaking Face ID. And has announced a self-service repair program. While these steps may be in response to public and regulatory pressure, they are welcome news for anyone looking to extend the life of an Apple device without incurring high costs or switching devices.
