The Valentin Haüy association has been developing support solutions for more than 130 years, to promote the autonomy and social inclusion of visually impaired people. Among these services, a media library of audio books accessible free of charge to people with disabilities and its website, Aeolus.
Enjoy reading despite a disability with the Éole online library
Free and easy to use, Éole is a library of books adapted for people for whom reading is difficult because of their disability: visual impairment, motor disability, intellectual disability, cognitive impairment and in particular DYS disorders.
Audio books, Braille books, classics or new releases… More than 70,000 titles are available, including most of the 2021 Literary Prizes (Goncourt, Renaudot, etc.). They can be downloaded in a few moments or be received by post in a few days. Audio books are free and allow you to rediscover the pleasure of reading for those who are unable to read because of a disability!
Registration is free upon presentation of:
- A disability card or a mobility inclusion card
- Or a medical or paramedical certificate
- Or, for pupils and students, a school or university document attesting to difficulties in reading
