Tesla CEO Elon Musk has very different ambitions than playing the boss. He says so himself.
Few CEOs in the world play pranks on Twitter with memes and the like. When you think of a CEO, you think of a man in a suit with a tie. Elon Musk is not your typical CEO and in fact he doesn’t want to be a Tesla boss at all. Not even at SpaceX or its other companies. That is what the CEO says on Twitter.
The reason for making this statement is a new book that is being published about him. Among other things, it describes the story that Musk allegedly asked Apple CEO Tim Cook if Apple wanted to buy Tesla. Musk, however, says he never spoke to Cook about this in a meeting. The Tesla CEO did send out a request for a meeting, but it never got to that point because Cook was not interested.
This was followed by a tweet from someone who said that Elon Musk could be a good CEO of Tesla and Apple. Elon Musk personally responded to the tweet, saying he does not want to be CEO of Apple or Tesla.
Musk made a similar statement last month. The Tesla CEO says he is in charge because, according to him, things go wrong otherwise. He prefers to be busy with the design and development of a product or service, rather than calling the shots. (through BBC)
