“Dear friends, after a long absence, please forgive my silence. My priority was to be with my husband, who is still recovering today but well. We are moving forward for the best”. In a post on the Instagram social network, Sandrine Abroukat gave news of her spouse Daniel Levi, who has been fighting colon cancer for 3 years.
“Thank you all”
“Know that he misses you terribly and that with the help of D… he will find you very quickly on stage and in great shape”, added Sandrine Abroukat, before thanking the caregivers: “Thank you to all the hospital service of the European Hospital, thank you to all the doctors for their unfailing dedication, thank you to all of you for all your prayers and we continue”. In 2019, singer Daniel Levi revealed that he had colon cancer, diagnosed late.
Colon cancer is a disease of the cells that line the inner lining of this organ. It develops from an initially normal cell which transforms and multiplies in an anarchic way, until forming a mass called “malignant tumor”.
3rd most common cancer in men
Colorectal cancer, or cancer of the colon-rectum, is the 3rd most common cancer in men, after those of the prostate and the lung. “It affects more than 43,000 people in France each year (including approximately 23,000 men and 20,000 women), and is responsible for more than 17,000 deaths per year”, says the National Cancer Institute.
