Some vaccines against Covid-19 do not keep indefinitely. This is particularly the case with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, which requires storage at a very low temperature for a fairly short time. It sometimes happens that people registered to be vaccinated do not show up for the appointment, that doses are wasted. To combat this waste and advance vaccination in France as quickly as possible, a application called Covidliste was born.
Until now, a tool allowed those who are already eligible to find the fastest vaccination option closest to home. It is Quick my dose! available via the CovidTracker device. The difference for Covidliste is that people of all ages, regardless of their state of health, can access it.
No conditions for registering on Covidliste
The idea is to put vaccination centers in contact with vaccine volunteers, who are not necessarily eligible and therefore not included in the list drawn up by the government at this stage. All you have to do is register, give your address, phone number, date of birth.
If a dose is released, the user is informed, he just has to validate and go to the center. The application takes into account the location of the patient to send to the nearest dose. The system, tested in Paris, thanks to a collaboration with the Foch hospital, intends to extend and has already just found a partner in Lyon.
