The 2nd Patient Forums on the management of colorectal cancer, organized by Aide et Recherche en Cancérologie Digestive (ARCAD), will take place throughout the month of March across France. The opportunity for colorectal cancer patients and their families to share their experience and learn from specialists on the different aspects of the disease.
The kickoff of these 2nd Patient Forums on the management of colorectal cancer will be given on Thursday, March 11 in Rouen. They will take place throughout the month of March in twelve French cities.
Oncologists, hepato-gastroenterologists, radiotherapists, surgeons, nurses, dieticians and psychologists will be present to answer patients’ questions on the different aspects of colorectal cancer. Patients and those around them will also be able to share their experience of the disease.
An information website on colorectal cancer is also made available to the general public. Interviews with specialists, testimonials and news will feed this web platform to continue to inform patients outside the Forums.
The 2nd Patient Forums on the management of colorectal cancer will be held in Rouen on March 11, in Orléans on March 15, in Boulogne Billancourt on March 16, in Dijon and Paris on March 18, in Reims and Nice on March 20 , in La Roche-sur-Yon on March 26, in Strasbourg on March 30, in Marseille on March 31 and in Nantes on April 8. The dates are pending for Brest and Rennes.
Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in France, after breast and prostate cancer. It is responsible for nearly 17,000 deaths per year.
