It is increasingly possible: treatment for cancer at home. You will not receive the chemo in the hospital, but in your own living room or bedroom. The OLVG hospital in Amsterdam and the Radboudumc in Nijmegen are experimenting with it. The editors are looking for someone who wants to talk about the experiences.
Have you had a nurse at home who came to administer chemotherapy at home? Or did you pick up capecitabine (Xeloda) for colon cancer at the pharmacy? This ‘chemotherapy in a pill’ is given for colon cancer, breast cancer or stomach cancer.
We are curious about your experiences. Is it pleasant to undergo the treatment at home? And if something should go wrong – is the reception properly arranged? It would be great if you would like to share your story about this with our journalist.
