Apple gives you the option to order parts for your iPhone for repair directly. That’s new!
A black day for repair shops and a beautiful day for every hobbyist who prefers to solve problems on his or her iPhone. In addition to complete products, Apple will also sell semi-products. The latter refers to the fact that the American tech giant from Cupertino sells individual parts for the iPhone to support a repair.

You will soon be able to repair a display, battery or a broken camera yourself. Apple will send you the original parts if you order them from the brand. There will be support for the iPhone 12 and 13. The service is not limited to just the iPhone. The Mac with M1 chip will also receive support for this new Apple repair program.
It’s remarkable that a company like Apple gives customers this option. I don’t think anyone saw this coming. Certainly not all those small companies that specialize in the repair of an iPhone or Mac. It’s not completely shutting down the business. There are of course plenty of people who are not handy enough to repair something on their iPhone or Mac themselves and are still dependent on these kinds of stores or the repair service of Apple itself.
