Studies have shown that waves emanating from cell phones play a role in male fertility by lowering the sperm content in semen (1).
To counter this problem, German student researchers invented the “Crown Jewels Underwear”, underpants around 30 euros, partially woven with silver threads, which would repel the waves of cell phones.
Silver is a conductive metal which has the advantage of being gentle on the skin while providing some degree of protection against waves.
The effectiveness of the boxer shorts remains to be demonstrated.
