Proposals to reduce the danger
Wecf France therefore offers:
– to prohibit ingredients classified as very worrying, including the following endocrine disruptors: benzyl salicylate, BHT, butylphenyl methylpropional, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethylparaben, methylparaben, octocrylene.
– to introduce a warning logo for pregnant women, similar to the existing one for alcohol, on cosmetic products containing ingredients suspected of being endocrine disruptors.
– to strengthen the research and expertise work of ANSM and ANSES to identify the risks associated with the use of cosmetic products containing problematic ingredients, specifically for pregnant women.
– to make the labeling more readable and understandable for consumers.
