My husband often cooks in the afternoon and then heats up the meal in the evening. According to my sister, that is very unhealthy, because then many vitamins are lost. Is that right?

Some vitamins are indeed lost during the heating of food. The water-soluble vitamins B and C are especially sensitive to air, light and heat.
However, the amount is not extreme and there are still enough vitamins left. The most important thing is that he eats a healthy meal and that little bit of vitamin loss does not matter that much.
