The title of the email is “Inquiry concerning you” and the sender: National Police. Recently, the National Police (the real one) circulated tweets stating a scam in progress, in the form of emails. In these, health pass is requested. If you receive one like this, do not respond to it.

“Following an investigation of suspected health pass fraud …” the email begins in the most serious way possible. He warns of the risks in case of fraud, 45,000 euros fine and prison, refers to a law. And ask you: a screenshot of your health pass (or paper or pdf format) as well as a photocopy of both sides of your identity card. The logo of the national police is attached.
Health pass traffic
But this is just a scam for recover QR codes, which have been trafficked since their inception. Last June, a business of fake vaccination certificates had already been dismantled. By replying to the email, the risk is that your pass will be resold, or that your data will be used for identity theft.
The police remind us that it is necessary to report these frauds, via the dedicated website. If in doubt, you can also contact the police for more information.
