Ragweed pollens remain very present in areas infested by the plant. The Rhône valley is the most affected with a very high risk of allergy.
The fears are confirmed. As announced last week, thehe RNSA bulletin (1) published this Friday confirms that ragweed pollens are very present in areas infested by the plant. The level 5 allergic risk now affects 2 departments.
Valid until September 2, this allergo-pollen bulletin specifies that the Rhône valley is the most affected with a very high risk of allergy in the north of Isère and in Drôme (level 5). But the risk of allergy is also high in the south of Isère, the south of the Ain, the Ardèche, the Vaucluse, the Nièvre, the north of the Gard and the north of the Dordogne near Mareuil.
In all these areas, those allergic to this pollen must take their precautions and in particular follow the treatments prescribed by the doctors. Contacted by Why actor this week, Gilles Oliver, engineer at RNSA, even advised allergy sufferers to stay at home. “It is the best solution if they have the possibility,” he admitted.
Grasses and urticaceae still present
To have a little respite, allergic people can also go to the Rhône, Loire, northern Ain and eastern Allier, where the allergic risk is medium. Finally, pollens from grasses and urticaceae are still present throughout France but the risk of allergy will not exceed the low level. A few plantain and mugwort pollens may possibly bother the most sensitive.
