The weather is returning to good shape. But with the heat, sagebrush pollens come back in force with high risks of allergy.
According to the latest bulletin from the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), valid until July 25, grass allergic people will be able to breathe quietly. The good summer weather which is gradually settling in France should indeed reduce the quantities present in the air of these pollens, especially in the eastern part of the country. A relief for all the allergic ones, who had suffered from it particularly in the month of June
Rhône Valley, Dauphinais and Nivernais
However, beware of mugwort pollen! Mugwort-leaf ragweed is a herbaceous plant, known precisely to trigger very serious allergies, especially at the end of summer, when it grows its small green flowers. The first waves of pollen are arriving now and the risk should therefore become clearer in August.
The RNSA foresees very significant risks of allergies by the end of August, in particular in the Rhône Valley, Dauphiné and Nivernais. These forecasts may be revised upwards if temperatures continue to rise.
A site and a toll-free number
The ambrosia hunt was therefore opened and the toll-free number 0800 869 869 was installed, as well as a website. These must allow the public to locate and report the ragweed plants in order to get rid of them.
But above all, the RNSA recalls that the best way to avoid allergies is prevention. Finding out about the treatments to follow or consulting your doctor now can avoid many problems in the middle of the holidays. Preparing to take antisthaminics as well as undergoing desensitization treatment, which consists of injecting small doses of the allergen to accustom the body, may be advised.
