Hygiene, welcome, setting… No, these criteria are not used to rate a hotel or a restaurant but a hospital! The Hospitalidée site was launched at the end of July by Loïc Raynal, a former Toulouse EDF agent. The origin of this approach? “With my wife we have chose our maternity on the advice of a single friend, a fragile basis for such an important decision. So I wanted to create a site to help you choose a health establishment,” he told Le Figaro.
The use of the site is simple and free. To post a review, simply register by giving a pseudonym and an email address. The opinions can be consulted without registration and concern all health establishments, public and private.
A margin of development
The new site is filled with “dozens of new opinions per day and currently has around 10,000 opinions”, as its founder told Le Figaro. It has also been approved by the Collectif interassociatif de la santé (Ciss), the leading French health association. patients, which is delighted on its website to see “finally a general public site for the evaluation of health establishments… by the general public”.
On the other hand, there is no question of criticizing the health professionals personally, which could lead to the site being closed down by the courts, as has already been the case for others. It is good to share your experience, give your opinion and make suggestions that you go to Hospitalidée. Loïc Raynal would also like to be able to verify that Internet users have visited the establishment on which they are reviewing. This could be done by scanning the outgoing mail, for example, as Le Figaro points out.
As far as financing is concerned, Loïc Raynal is studying possibilities such as selling reviews to establishments or establishing rankings when the site has grown.
