Access to regulated emergency services between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. in Loire-Atlantique
“Concretely, between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., excluding vital emergency, any patient who has not been sent by a health professional (doctor, dentist or midwife) will first have to call 15 before going to the emergency room”explains the ARS Pays de la Loire.
The regional health authorities add that this device has the objective “To secure the care of patients, to guide them according to their need and to preserve the working conditions of emergency professionals at night”.
This measure is expected to be in force until February 24, 2025 “To cover the epidemic period and winter school holidays”.
These temporary access methods concern adult, pediatric and psychiatric emergency services of all the establishments in the territory, public and private. That’s to say :
- CHU de Nantes;
- CH of Saint-Nazaire;
- CH of Châteaubriant-Nozay-Pouancé;
- CH Erdre et Loire (Ancenis);
- Private Confluent Hospital.
Patients who will present themselves directly to the emergency room without prior medical advice, will have access to a phone on site to call the center 15 and be put in touch with an emergency doctor.

Access to emergencies: How is the patient oriented?

- SOS doctors;
- An appointment for a consultation of non-programmed care with a general practitioner close to his home or in the hospital within 24 hours to 48 hours;

- A delayed meeting for benign traumatology;
