“Rififi in Daisy Town” is a serious game, that is to say a “serious” video game. Created by the FFD (French Federation of Diabetics), it aims to sensitize public opinion to Type 2 diabetes, a chronic disease that affects around 4 million people in France. Every day, 400 new cases are diagnosed.
In this health education game, Lucky Luke arrives in the city of Daisy Town, which is struck by a mysterious illness: the inhabitants are sick but “no one has fever or pain”, they rather feel “pain”. fatigue and frequent urges to urinate ”. Strange: the Dalton brothers show no symptoms … Accompanied by his faithful Jolly Jumper, the cowboy will then lead the investigation.
A smart game for the whole family
The goal? Help players discover the 5 risk factors that favor the development of type 2 diabetes (the overweight or theobesity, a diet too rich in sugars and fats, a lack of physical activity …), but also to alert the population to the symptoms that must be taken seriously.
To do this, Lucky Luke will compose balanced menus, dance on a music hall stage, ask the mayor about his eating habits … In the end, an intelligent game accessible to the whole family.
