How are the cures carried out?
Balneotherapy treatments are provided (jet showers, underwater massages, etc.) to facilitate lymphatic drainage and soften the skin. We help you during dietetic consultations and workshops to balance your meals and adapt them according to your energy expenditure. You have the option of meeting a psychologist if you wish. Finally, various sports activities are offered in the gym, in the swimming pool, etc. Thermal cures have the advantage of offering real support at all levels and of allowing the overweight or obese person to take care of themselves in a soothing environment, a source of well-being. We also help you prepare for your return home so that you keep the good habits you have acquired at the thermal baths.
What are the formalities ?
The cure must be prescribed by your attending physician to be reimbursed. You must return the form entitled “Prior payment request”, completed by your general practitioner, to your health insurance fund. You will then receive the agreement to follow your treatment. The document includes 3 parts: the 1st is intended for the spa doctor, the 2nd for the spa establishment and the 3rd concerns travel and subsistence expenses, reimbursed under certain conditions.
For how long ?
The treatment covered by Social Security must take place over 18 days. But you have the possibility of staying only 6 or 12 days in free curist. In these cases, you will not be reimbursed.
